Charles E. McGee graduated from University of North Carolina School of Law and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2003. Prior to joining Northup McConnell & Sizemore in 2006, Charles served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Patricia Timmons-Goodson at the North Carolina Supreme Court and North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Charles concentrates his practice in workers’ compensation defense, representing insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and uninsured employers in matters before the North Carolina Industrial Commission. He also represents employers and insurance carriers in subrogation matters, and counsels employers regarding insurance needs and compliance with the North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Act.
As a member of the Workers’ Compensation Department of Northup McConnell & Sizemore, Charles recognizes the burdens the workers' compensation system places on businesses and the impact of medical and lost time payments, administrative and litigation expenses, and losses in productivity and morale associated with workers' compensation claims. He resolves claims efficiently and effectively, and works closely with his clients to ensure their interests are earnestly represented and defended.
A native North Carolinian, Charles enjoys hiking, camping, golf, and spending time with his family.
